Silhouette - Jungle Ambush by FritzVicari Silhouette - Jungle Ambush by FritzVicari
ENGLISH:

This is an exercise done for the academy in February. We worked on "silhouettes" to train on composition. A given illustration should be readable and understandable at the very first sight, considering that, more often than not, a general viewer will not observe a given image for more than five seconds. Differently from working with various shades or colours, working on landscapes silhouetted in black/white grounds, forces you to be extremely careful about composition, since each and every mistake of wrong overlapping can jeopardize the whole work.
Done with a lot of tension in a few hours with black markers.

ITALIANO:

You know I really do love this piece so much that I have to add - Master Vicari, I think you ought to work in Silhouettes more often, for if they are all so good as this then your gallery would be EVEN MORE splendid than it already is!Nod
